Minimum Eligibility Criteria

Engineering / Technology / Management

Professor:

Ph.D. degree in relevant field and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the relevant branch. Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching / research / industry, out of which at least 3 years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.

At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor / Co-supervisor till date OR 10 research publications with no Ph.D. guided.

Candidate should have demonstrated leadership in academic administration and research with a strong record of publications in reputed journals, refereed conferences, course development and other recognized professional activities.

Professor of Practice:

Distinguished experts who have made remarkable contributions in their professions from fields such as engineering, science, technology, entrepreneurship, commerce, social sciences, media, literature, fine arts, civil services, armed forces, legal profession, community development, panchayati raj, rural development, watershed development, water-harvesting, organic farming, small green energy systems, municipal planning, community participation, gender budgeting/planning, inclusive development of tribals and public administration among others.

Candidates must have proven expertise with at least 15 years of service/experience, preferably at a senior level. Retired professors shall not apply. This position is only for professionals from industries.

Associate Professor:

Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and First Class or equivalent at either Bachelor’s or Master’s level. Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching / research / industry, out of which at least 2 years shall be Post-Ph.D. experience.

Minimum of 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list. Candidate should demonstrate adequate independent research through publications, refereed conferences, course development and other recognized professional activities.

Assistant Professor (Entry Grade):

Graduate or Post Graduate in relevant discipline with First Class or equivalent in any one of the degrees. Ph.D. is desirable. Candidates with excellent teaching and research aptitude will be preferred.

Architecture and Planning

Professor:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) and Master’s Degree in Architecture or allied subjects with minimum 60% marks at either level.

Fourteen years experience in teaching / research / professional work including minimum five years full-time teaching experience OR Nineteen years of professional experience.

Desirable: Ph.D. in Architecture.

Associate Professor:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) and Master’s Degree in Architecture or allied subjects with minimum 60% marks at either level.

Eight years experience in teaching / research / professional work including minimum three years full-time teaching experience OR Thirteen years of professional experience.

Assistant Professor:

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) with minimum 60% marks and three years of relevant professional experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Master’s Degree in Architecture or allied subjects with minimum 60% marks at either level and one year of relevant professional experience.

Compliant with COA norms.

Note:

  1. Industry experts interested in moving to academia are welcome.
  2. Minimum qualification and experience will be as per UGC / AICTE / COA / ITPI norms, as applicable.
  3. Shortlisting and screening will be merit-based. Candidates with strong research background will be preferred.

  5. Preference will be given to Ph.Ds. from IITs / NITs / Institutes of Eminence.
